Khalsa School Gymnasium
The Khalsa School Gym is a multi-use recreational space for the Khalsa School in Calgary. Ironwood designed and built this 12,000 square foot gym to be abuse resistant and stand up to the daily usage.
The gymnasium has no load bearing walls, as it is supported entirely buy steel supports. The gym features mutliple courts, allowing the gym to support a wide variety of sports and leisure activities.
Other features include a viewing mezzanine, as well as Structural Steel Insulated Panels to ensure that the building is thermally efficient.
Ironwood was proud to partner with the Khalsa School, a Sikh faith private school that aspires to provide students with countless opportunities to achieve academic excellence in a spiritual environment which instils the highest standard of moral and humanitarian values.
